Holly Hunter is a well-known American actress, producer and director. She has been praised for movies like Broadcast News The Firm The Piano The Incredibles and The Incredibles. The actress won numerous awards, including an Oscar for the movie Piano. At a young age, the accomplished actress began playing on stage for various Broadway or Off-Broadway shows. Since her childhood, she performed Helen Keller in a play in the fifth grade. Following her move from Los Angeles she tried to obtain film roles and was offered a supporting role in Swing Shift. In the years since, she has been in numerous films and TV movies and series over a career spanning more than three decades. Holly Hunter was awarded a Hollywood Walk of Fame Star as well as the Women in Film Lucy Award.
